Figurants (n)
(in theatre) a minor character, esp one who does not speak

Begin.

Hallways. Endless hallways. You go to one on the left. Then right. Then the middle. Then you circle the room, pacing, an insane look on your face. Suddenly you see a door.

You sprint down the hallway that you see the door at the end of-a small box of beautiful green light reflects your tear-filled eyes.

It seems to be farther every step you take. You keep running.

Minutes stretch into hours. You finally get to the door. You admire its deep mahogany with a shimmering brass handle shaped like a clover, with a knocker shaped like a Pixgog. There are words etched beneath it.

Don't do It.

You turn the knob, ignoring the eerie message. You open the door carefully.

You walk into a dark room, almost too dark to see. The light seems to have gone. You can make out a shadow sitting across from a chair. You walk over, sitting down. You are exhausted.

A small light turns on, and you can see a Finti.

The Finti sits back casually, the clover on its mask-like face seeming to turn and twist in an almost... hypnotic motion. It glows softly, the same colour green you saw when you ran here.

The light grows brighter, you gasp in wonder. You find your head is turning in the same rhythm as the Finti's clover is, focusing on the top leaf of the glowing symbol.

You suddenly collapse to the floor. The Finti turns its head, eerily staring though it cannot stare. You convulse with agony from some odd force.

Suddenly you are in a round room, the lights are off with no light switch in sight. You see three creatures' shadows. Which do you approach?

One looks very puffy, and there is something waving excitedly behind it, as if it is waving to you.

Another, is asleep with its back turned to you. Its breaths look forced, as if every next breath will be its last.

The third is making an odd humming noise, with the occasional small chirp and a ruffling that could only be feathers.

About Finti Eggs

Despite being extremely common, Finti eggs are actually very difficult to find. This is because an adult Finti will dig a hole underneath patches of clovers, and will only lay her eggs there. While in its egg stage, oxygen is considered to be toxic to Finti. Since there is much less airflow in the soil than there is in the atmosphere, it is relatively safe for Finti eggs to grow in the soil without becoming intoxicated.

When the egg hatches, the Finti is no longer affected by oxygen, and can emerge from the ground safely.

About the Finti Creature

Contrary to common belief, Finti are strict carnivores and cannot digest vegetation, including clovers. In fact, nobody knows why Finti seem to resemble clovers. The only relation they have to them is that the mother always buries her eggs beneath clover patches, but otherwise, they spend no time around them and don't seem to have any affinity for them. What looks like a coat on the adult Finti's back and shoulders is not actually grass either -- it's actually their fur!

Finti are excellent hunters in that they are nocturnal and can move extremely quickly in complete silence. As they grow more legs through age, they become faster, and surprisingly more quiet with their movements. Some Arkians believe that witnessing an adult Finti is considered to be good luck due to the rare four-leaf clover symbol on their mask.
