The Nebulouse (now includes art by Piucca!)

So this is my first creature suggestion/idea. I have no artistic ability on my own, so I was not able to do the art on my own - as noted above, @piucca has done the artwork. Also, sorry if there has been a creature suggestion similar to this before. Any similarities are unintentional.

Anyway, the Nebulouse!! Or Galaxarat (I kind of like both nn; ).

*Pronunciation:
Neb-u-louse (like nebula + mouse)
Ga-lax-a-rat (like galaxy + rat)

*Archive description of egg:
This egg appears to have multi-colored clouds flowing around inside of it, like sediment disturbed in a pool of clear water. Upon looking closely, you think you see stars twinkling inside the clouds.

*Egg appearance:
I imagine it looking just like a picture of a nebula - clouds of different colors swirling together, and specks of white (stars) scattered within them.

*Archive description of the creature:
The birth of a Nebulouse is said to coincide with the birth of a star. They begin life as gaseous, dust-like clouds, formless and seemingly lifeless, except to those of keen observation. Look closely - the cloud is actually a creature, and if you smile at it, it will smile back. If you were to try to touch or hold a Nebulouse at this stage of its life, it would slip right through your grip, like sand through a sieve.
Over the course of several years, the cloud begins to compress, heat up, and take shape, until eventually the Nebulouse becomes a creature capable of nuzzling and cuddling you like your every day house pet. If you view your Nebulouse from different angles, you may be able to see what appear to be stars. There are those who say that the shimmering white specks that appear inside of a Nebulouse are reflections of actual stars somewhere out there in the universe. To date, no one has ever seen one of these "stars" result in a supernova, but there are several circling theories that if this were to happen, the Nebulouse would either pass away or possibly help scientists unlock some secrets about the cosmos.


*Creature appearance:
I see three stages of this creature.
*First stage: A non-specific shape, mostly blob-like in appearance, but there are two white specks (like stars) that are the eyes, and maybe a faint smile. The shape itself is black but is filled with nebula-like colors, swirled together. The colors are browns, oranges, and greens at this stage.
*Second stage: The shape is more defined, beginning to take the shape of a mouse. A few more white specks have come into existence within the cloudy, nebula substances. The white specks for the eyes are more pronounced and the creature still looks cheerful. The colors are more greens and blues at this stage.
*Third/final stage: The shape has completely formed into a mouse (or mouse-like creature), its body now full of stars and still colored like a nebula. The colors are now blues, purples, and pinks at the final stage.


*Evolution stats:
1st stage: 500 clicks
2nd stage: 1000 clicks
3rd stage: 1600 clicks

Also, I forgot to mention, I like that you made its tail curl around it. It's very nebula/galaxy-looking, which is exactly what I had in mind. I also have a few updates of my own to make to the archive description, but it won't change the way it looks at all. 😸

@piucca - No problem! I kind of like the last stage being a mystery. The other stages you did were seriously wonderful, so I appreciate the effort you put into it. Hopefully, Egg Cave staff will decide to use this idea and then they can use their own imagination on the last stage. 😸
