To freeze a creature you buy and use an Essence of Litsdnats on it. These can be purchased in the Cash Shop Park. Once you do the creature will be frozen in its current stage and not evolve.

Star creatures gain a small amount of their evolution stat everyday. You an also change the color and position of the star on your creature, giving it a little more customization.
