I subscribed a topic but every time someone pings me, I don't get the notice. Is there something I forgot to do? Or something wrong?

Hmmm, what do you mean you didn't get the notice?
Do they not pop up on the right side of your window, or do they not appear in the Notifications list at all?

Either way, you should be notified about your being pinged whether you subscribed to the topic or not, so I suggest double-checking everything and then wait for the moderators? xD

[p.s. like did my ping to you on this post come up at all? - or did you have to go all the way to the forum livepulse to see it?]

Hmm, I don't know what would happen if you subscribe to a topic then get pinged to it though, would you still get notified then? xD

What about your other unsubscribed topics? Do you get pings to them?

Yes.

So ok, when you've already subscribed to a topic, you won't know if people ping you or not.
If you don't subscribe to a topic, you will know if people pinged you.
~> pinging and subscribing overlap.
~> only subscribe to /really/ necessary topics, for the others, just ignore them and wait if you get pinged or something because only then does it really involve you.

Does this make sense?
