personally just learn better if i do it myself, we all have different ways of learning. I think im more a writing reading learner than an auditory one. When i add in extra notes i generally do it in pencil just kinda slotted in wherever it fits. Generally i write down my-

I dont take notes in margins, i try to leave space for everything to fit cause i like having neat books
I also tend to write really hard too so thats how i get so many indentations XD
My handwriting gets erradic sometimes so when i want neatness it doesnt happen haha
