This egg was only available in Egg Cave's Cash Shop Park for Father's Day 2015.
The spikes protruding from Basque eggs contain a mild paralytic as a defense measure against predators. So be careful when handling Basque eggs otherwise you might find yourself unable to move your arm for an hour or two.
Basques are a very solitary species. A single Basque can live its whole life and only come into contact with another of its kind only a handful of times. However the first contact with another Basque always happens just after hatching and it is always with their father. It is the male Basques that guard and tend the egg not the females. Once a Basque hatches the father will bring it its first meal and watch over it while it eats. After this the young Basque will set out on its own needing no other assistance to start its life.
Basque spikes and teeth carry the same paralytic poison as their eggs. However this poison is more potent and can paralyze a fully grown Marlay. So take care when handling a Basque, it is not wise to anger it.
