About Duillech Eggs

Duillech eggs are usually laid either just at the shore of bodies of water or partially submerged. For some reason, flowers seem to be attracted to these eggs and are often found sparsely growing around them. These eggs are bumpy but smooth and wet to the touch.

About the Duillech Creature

Most Arkians know well the legend told of the terrifying, Arkian-eating Kappas that lurk in the wild, waiting just below the water for their moment to strike... so when the Duillech was first discovered, Arkians greatly feared them, thinking they were exactly as the legends told.

However, as the Science and Research Center continued to study them, this particular species of Kappa were soon discovered to be strict herbivores. What's more is that they were found to be intelligent and quite shy but warm and friendly and completely non-hostile.

Whenever a Duillech spots a lonely, solitary egg or even an unaccompanied nest of eggs, they feel so deeply concerned for their wellbeing and how defenseless they are that the Duillech will snatch the eggs, nestle them into their indented nest-like cranium, and take it upon themselves to raise and care for them until they are hatched and old enough to be released. Duillechs make fantastic and relentlessly attentive parents, ensuring that all eggs are kept safe and warm and under their watchful eye at all times. However, while this is beneficial if the eggs have truly been abandoned, there have been countless cases where the parents were only out for food or water or some other reason, only to come back to an empty nest. This has become an actual ecological crisis for various species of wildlife despite the Duillech's heart being in the right place.

Easter Eggs are no exception. Once Easter rolls around, be careful about leaving your decorated, candy or chocolate eggs out and unattended! Duillechs have been known to steal them, thinking they are real eggs. Although Arkians will often find them returned a few months later exactly where they were taken from...
