This egg is cloaked in an unassuming fabric that, when cut into, will enact a lifelong contract with its dormant spirit. Peering underneath this sheet will curiously reveal there to be nothing at all.
The Shround will manifest itself to the contracting party as a ghostly black dog, offering its undying companionship in exchange for a lifetime of mishaps and misfortune. Most would perceive this to be an unfavorable opportunity, yet the lingering fear of loneliness often makes for a compelling argument.
