The Volcano

Tekrhyo eggs can only be found in the lava fields around Ark's central volcano where they are partially embedded in chunks of obsidian.
Tekrhyos are covered in two types of scales. One is as smooth and glassy as obsidian but is as hard as rock, this type covers most of the Tekrhyo's body. The other is a colorful crystalline growth that is brittle but breaks into razor sharp edges. These scales are used primarily for defense and once they are broken off will grow back relatively quickly. A Tekrhyo will fully replace it's defense scales multiple times over its' lifespan.
