This egg was only available in Egg Cave's Cash Shop Park for Independence Day 2014 (July 4) through July 8.
Volar eggs are highly valued due to their beautiful, metallic appearance, however, their shell is actually quite fragile. If a raindrop falling at terminal velocity hits the egg, it is very possible that the egg will crack and the child will die. Volar eggs are fairly difficult to find around Ark, particularly during rainy seasons. Due to their scarcity in the wild, The Science and Research Center has banned Ark citizens from taking Volar eggs from the wild and keeping them in captivity to keep the ecosystem in balance.
Since Volar eggs rarely survive, young Volar hatchlings tend to have excellent genes, making them great fliers and deadly predators. They are well-known for their bravery, and will often hunt creatures much larger than they are! Ark citizens are usually quite fascinated when seeing a Volar shrieking in the skies above them, however, this means that they're looking for food, so be careful, as Volars have been known to attack just about anything!
