Updated Cave Functionality

The Cave functionality has been changed greatly.

You can now see the species of the creature before you decide to steal it from the Egg Cave. This will help cut down on the number of unwanted eggs in Ark (since the Egg Cave staff does not support the abandonment of creatures).

Instead of being able to adopt only 10 eggs per day, you may now only make 10 attempted steals per day (regardless of whether or not you adopt the creature).

We hope you enjoy this new and amazing feature! Fun and cool new species are up next!

-to see if I can put together any rations or something. We'll see!

thursdays_dove • 2 Feb 2010, 3:15 PM

Er.. ratios* oo; I think Ian may need to not allow people to see eggs after you've looked at 10 already.. I think I may have found a way of-

thursdays_dove • 2 Feb 2010, 3:16 PM

-"cheating" to get a Mo.. but I'm not sure if it's true or not. Hmm, maybe I should tell Ian. I will later when I get home.

thursdays_dove • 2 Feb 2010, 3:17 PM

@tashabell989 - Oh really? Hmmm... maybe I'll break the code then! But then again.. isn't the randomness part of the fun? Things to ponder..

thursdays_dove • 2 Feb 2010, 3:20 PM

Well I'll go ahead and say it, just so someone can tell me I'm wrong and/or to make sure Ian knows about it. So, here I go!

thursdays_dove • 2 Feb 2010, 3:21 PM

It's great that we can now view eggs, but after we've viewed 10, since we can still see more, so say we run across a Mo. What if you just-

thursdays_dove • 2 Feb 2010, 3:21 PM

-left your web browser open and came back the next day? The egg would still be there ready to be taken, so couldn't you just take it then?

thursdays_dove • 2 Feb 2010, 3:22 PM

I should probably test this theory with a regular egg, like an Alkub, to see if it works, because if it does, I definitely think Ian should-

thursdays_dove • 2 Feb 2010, 3:23 PM

-know about it. Does anyone else think that's sort of "cheating" in a way?

thursdays_dove • 2 Feb 2010, 3:24 PM

Okay, I think other people should try it and see if it works. I gotta go now, so see ya guys later and happy Mo hunting! 😊

thursdays_dove • 2 Feb 2010, 3:24 PM

Oh one more thing: If ANYONE happens to get a Mo, please please please record what time you got it, just in case there is a pattern!

gizmo • 2 Feb 2010, 3:24 PM

I have thought about that too, but I haven't tried. Don't think it is cheating.

asa • 2 Feb 2010, 3:42 PM

@tashabell989: yup. being smart xD and HOARDING YOUR INFO o_O

asa • 2 Feb 2010, 3:43 PM

huh. we should be able to give each other EC while in the trade center...hm? or at least give each other travels. has anyone noticed that-

asa • 2 Feb 2010, 3:44 PM

-when u bring a creature home from traveling, u dont get the travel back? o_O glitch or just the travel agency being mean? xD

asa • 2 Feb 2010, 3:47 PM

and does anyone know what an obarn needs to evolve? *o*

dragonkeeper • 2 Feb 2010, 3:52 PM

frescotux1o1 • 2 Feb 2010, 4:10 PM

My brother always turns off the computer though, so I don't think it's going to work with me unfortunately. 😋

frescotux1o1 • 2 Feb 2010, 4:10 PM

But nice thinking though. 😃

gizmo • 2 Feb 2010, 4:16 PM

@delfin99: it is stated in the Travel center that when bringing ur creature home, the travel is lost...

gizmo • 2 Feb 2010, 4:17 PM

@delfin99 -2: obarns evolve at 500 clicks if I'm well informed... 😉

frescotux1o1 • 2 Feb 2010, 4:35 PM

Isn't today Groundhog's Day?

gamekatt101 • 2 Feb 2010, 4:39 PM

I'm pretty sure it's 500 Clicks too. 😊 Anyway...*steals views* 😋 Champion is getting really close to hatching.

dragonkeeper • 2 Feb 2010, 4:41 PM

gizmo • 2 Feb 2010, 4:46 PM

frescotux1o1 • 2 Feb 2010, 4:47 PM

If he sees his shadow, there's Winter for 2 more weeks. If he doesn't, it's Spring.

frescotux1o1 • 2 Feb 2010, 4:47 PM

But it's really weird though.

gizmo • 2 Feb 2010, 4:48 PM

gizmo • 2 Feb 2010, 4:50 PM

And did he see his shadow today??? It seems this winter takes forever!!!

frescotux1o1 • 2 Feb 2010, 4:52 PM

dragonkeeper • 2 Feb 2010, 4:59 PM

Oh no more winter yeash is sad now sobbs too ):

gizmo • 2 Feb 2010, 4:59 PM

Haha, is there really a groundhog somewhere that checks his shadow every year???? Haha! 😃 Well now were warned!

frescotux1o1 • 2 Feb 2010, 5:00 PM

He saw it 97 times and like didn't see it for 15 or something.

frescotux1o1 • 2 Feb 2010, 5:01 PM

Hmm, I maybe some guy holds the groundhog up and see if there's a shadow or something.

frescotux1o1 • 2 Feb 2010, 5:02 PM

Then again, what's the point of that? Just check your own shadow and tell the media.

gizmo • 2 Feb 2010, 5:05 PM

I checked wikipedia and there are different outcomes for different locations! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Groundhog_Day

lynncrow • 2 Feb 2010, 5:05 PM

two hatched and two eggs Hatched: salaslyke, garguaith Eggs: savarab, chimera

gizmo • 2 Feb 2010, 5:06 PM

there are about 6 weeks between today and the official start of Spring: 21 March... so he should see his shadow each year! 😃
