About Baku Eggs

This egg was only available in the Egg Cave for September 2013.

Baku eggs are notoriously tricky to hatch. The eggs appear to gather a special energy from the dreams of their owners. So it is necessary to keep Baku eggs near your bed at night. This has a side of effect of causing one’s dreams to become very vivid until the egg hatches.

About the Baku Creature

Once hatched owners notice that while their Baku will eat food it doesn’t appear to need it. After much research the Science and Research Center has discovered that Baku actually thrive entirely off the energy they gather from dreams and most particularly from nightmares. Baku have the ability to pluck certain dreams from the minds of sleeping humans and consume them. Nightmares seem to provide the best nourishment for them. A common cure for children who are plagued by nightmares is to get them a Baku as a pet. The nightmares disappear and the Baku becomes a loyal companion.

There is a yet unconfirmed theory that the older a Baku becomes they gain the ability to grant dreams as well as eat them. So far testing at the Science and Research Center have not turned up any conclusive proof of this ability.
