Avis likes to literally BATHE in the fire...Yamamagans were actually spawned in a volcano, so he actually NEEDS heat and fire to survive! The unique thing about Avis is that his fire is NOT harmful to humans unless he breathes the fire directly onto them! So I can touch and hug him as much as I want, and he still wont burn me. He's very warm, but not too hot to touch...but inside his body he lives purely off of fire.

About the Yamamagan Creature

Yamamagan are a very privileged creature; they are one of the few that can breathe fire. Contradictory to their appearance, they are fairly friendly creatures. Most of the time when somebody is burned by a Yamamagan, it's purely an accident. Most accidents that occur are when Yamamagan sneeze. It's bad news if your Yamamagan catches a cold, for sure.
