Isn't he CUTE? He is much more intelligent than assumed for Macaws. The term "Bird brain" is a compliment when you talk to Arliss! He's very smart, and can understand a lot more than even most of the other creatures(except for Obarns and Bunthoffs). He is vocal about this, as he is one of the only creatures in Ark that can actually use human words to communicate. As a baby however, he's very curious and easily impressed! I'm surprised he's a Macaw at all! 😃

About the Macaw Creature

The Macaw is a unique creature; the first-stage Macaw is very gullible, almost to the point of being dumb. Don't let first-stage Macaw out of your sight! During the first-stage, their brains are very underdeveloped. As their brains continue to develop, certain genes for skin designs and patterns turn on, metamorphosing into a rather beautiful creature. Nonetheless, even a fully matured Macaw still occasionally crashes into large, visible trees.
