About Reep Eggs

During October, in cemeteries all over Ark, Reep eggs start to appear. The more desolate and disused the cemetery the more likely it is to find Reep eggs amongst the tombstones. After many studies the SAR Center has discovered that Reep eggs are a physical manifestation of death and decay and that only a high concentration of both produce Reep eggs. Stories from Ark's past mention Reep eggs being found on battlefields for as long as years after the battle took place.

About the Reep Creature

Reeps are a highly secretive species and prefer to keep themselves separate from most other species. After hatching the young Reep will float off and find a dark place to hide. It would be easy to overlook the young Reep if it wasn't for its strange habit of taunting anyone that comes close. These taunts can range from very simple and uninspired to more complex taunts that can goad almost anyone into a rage. As the Reep gains a body this desire to taunt everyone and everything fades.

Reeps growth is similar to that of the Luskrull. It gathers the bones of other creatures, particularly humans, to create its body. Many people believe Reeps to be bringers of ill fortune and death. A belief that seems to hold more than a little truth. One or more Reeps have been sighted before or just after major tragedies and it is not uncommon for someone to see a Reep before they die. Whether these sightings are mere coincidence or if there is something else going on is still under debate at the SAR Center.
