Hi There! This Peachy & Cheeky! and this pet is a tribute to my 2 wonderful Lovebirds, Peach & Cheeky ❤ī¸

The story starts on November 28th, 2010, when a little 11 year old girl got a Slate masked lovebird for her birthday (although it had been the day after my Birthday that I got him) that she wanted so badly. once she got this tiny, 3 month old lovebird she instantly fell in love with him, but since he was kinda a turd *most* of the time. she named him Cheeky, and he was kinda short for a lovebird. about 1.5 inches smaller then most Lovebirds, but she loved him more then anything. But soon she realized that a lovebird all by himself got rather lonesome. He seemed sad, so Jan, 2011 she got a year old 'Male' lovebird and Cheeky was a 'Girl' (I was told this by the breeder) well NOPE! but I found this out later 😉 But anyway she named her Peachy. & soon they loved each other more then anything and on Dec 16, 17, & 18 of 2012, Cheeky become a Daddy of 3 Chicks Named Jewel, Cisco, & Rainbow. Jewel & Rainbow ended up being boys and Cisco was a girl! 😃 But they were best friends, until they got older. The boys fought over Cisco but someone got all 3 of them and got the other male a mate. they got a very nice home. but Cheeky was an awesome dad, he always loved all of his babies, And loved Peachy even more. they were always together, Never one without the other and vice verse. And they were like this until July, 2014 when some stupid girl (take a guess who that is) took them outside without realizing that Peachy needed her wings trimmed. Peachy got scared by a car backfiring & flew away. Cheeky tried to follow but he couldn't fly and so she can only guess that Peachy passed away. ☚ī¸ Cheeky then passed away from grief August, 7th, 2014. The day before Lucky's (that's his son that I have) 1st Birthday. ;-; And the more awful thing about it is Peachy had 2 babies when this happened. Luckily the girl knew how to hand feed baby lovebirds and saved them and they got a nice home together. But she lost her babies. her special birdies. She cared so much for them all for her to be an idiot and lose them. She thinks about them a lot and still cries about them when she thinks about it long enough (I cried writing this story).

But at least in death, They can be together. They can fly wherever they want to & be together for eternity. I really hope heaven is real for them. ❤ī¸

A note to all people who own birds, DO NOT, EVER, EVEN FOR A SECOND, Take your birds outside! I'm never doing it again. Or at least trim their wings. Even if you think it makes the bird sad. Cause I promise it doesn't hurt them, and it's even more sad to watch your mate fly away and then you be so sad and miserable that your mate is gone that you DIE a month later (Cheeky). So be careful, Don't make the stupid mistake that I did.

About the Sikeree Creature

The Sikeree creature represents an ancient legend of love between two birds named Sik and Ree.

* * *

Long ago, there were two birds born to separate parents just minutes apart, Sik and Ree. From the outset, Sik and Ree were inseparable and knew that they loved one another without reservation. Sadly, in an unexpected event Sik's father died. At that same time, Ree's mother passed away.

Undone and robbed by grief, their love fell apart as they had no energy to give to one another. In their pain, they flew away from each other, each in opposite directions for miles and miles.

Now hundreds of miles apart, Sik began to think of Ree and Ree of Sik. To find one another again, they both flew back to the same spot from which they departed but they had missed each other for they arrived and departed at different times.

After 10 long years of yearning and searching for one another, Sik and Ree found each other perched across the opening of The Volcano at about the time they were both going to give up. Reunited, they rekindled their love with new perspective on their loss as younger birds.

The Legend of Sik and Ree teaches that no amount of pain or distance can sever or alter the tie of true love.
