Travel: Faela City

You were going on a stroll throughout Ark City, and you somehow found yourself in Faela City. You can't quite recall how you wandered this far from your cove, but although your memories are curiously blurry, your senses are sharp as ever. You observe your surroundings.

Nothing seems to be moving. The city is silent, eerie, and still. There is an overwhelming amount of gray; steel buildings tinted with teal, murky puddles of rainwater on stone pavement, drab skies with ashy clouds. Everything is alarmingly neutral. You catch a striking blue form moving in the corner of your eye.

You turn and see a feminine Ringtail turning around a corner.

"He-hello?" You say, your voice dry. She doesn't appear to have heard you.

"Umm, excuse me?" You say, louder this time, and you begin to move towards her.

She seems to sense your presence, because just as you draw close enough to touch, she turns immediately and looks at you. She looks puzzled to see you.

"How are you here?" She asks, and her voice is urgent. She sounds elegant, proper, superior, and commanding.

"I'm not sure," you say, straining to remember, but you're just grasping at straws; there is nothing to recall to her. "Who are you?" you ask.

"My name is Estala," she says, not paying much attention. Estala's mind appears to be somewhere else. "You need to come with me." Without waiting for your consent, she turns and starts going the direction she was headed before.

She doesn't turn around to see if you're following her.

What do you do?

About Ringtail Eggs

The fur on top of the egg allows the Ringtail to regulate its temperature during incubation. Ringtail eggs require an environment below -20°C to hatch. If it becomes any warmer than this, Ringtail eggs die.

About the Ringtail Creature

Despite their friendly and approachable appearance, Ringtails are rather aggressive and territorial. Should you cross a boundary with a Ringtail, groups of them will start congregating and howling at whoever the offender might be. If an offender doesn't back down, Ringtails will attack together. In general it's best to stay away from them in the wild. Domesticated Ringtails are much more tame but are still a handful by most creature owners' standards.

Ringtails grow one more golden tail ring per evolution stage. The first golden ring is the same between the egg and child evolution stages.

A Ringtail's tail rings can sense vibrations in the ground, allowing the creature to detect predators and changes in the environment before they could become threats. Because of this Ringtails are quite evasive (unless challenged) in the wild.
