Arastwe Resides In The Swamp-Forest Parts Of This Cove. They Seem To Enjoy It There-

This creature is not very aggressive but he's a little protective of the ones he cares for. Used to be in Red Leaf Glow but found the Gecko Swamp and liked it better

About Garast Eggs

Garast eggs are an intriguing combination of both leather and fur. Unsettling guttural cries can sometimes be heard from within as they near hatching.

About the Garast Creature

Garast live in small herds consisting of mostly young and adolescent individuals. Newly-hatched Garast are capable of using trace amounts of magic, an ability that greatly strengthens over the course of their lifespan. As Garast age, their dark complexion eventually fades into a lighter tone of gray and white. These older Garast will usually stray from their herd and become loners.

Garast hide is primarily made up of a thick leather-like skin that transitions into a large, furry mane around their necks. From this mane and between their horns leaks an eerie green substance. This substance, which is their source of magic, can expand into a cover of fog or be used for illusions – when inhaled, it causes intense hallucinations that wear off after a few minutes. Despite living near the mountaintops, Garast do enjoy the act of swimming and will seek out streams to wade around in. However, being cold-blooded creatures, they cannot tolerate the chilly water for very long before needing to bask in the sunlight.

Around early to mid October, there are frequent reports of ghostly sightings at night by those who live in mountainous regions. As Halloween approaches, these reports only increase in frequency. It is uncertain why older Garast come down from their mountain home in October, but some theories are centered around them collecting wandering spirits or warding negative spirits away from the populated regions of Ark.
