About Papagai Eggs

From a distance Papagai eggs, when shining brilliantly in direct sunlight, look a lot like giant gold coins. Pirates, who are clever on their feet but not necessarily intelligent, often stop at the jagged rocks off the coast where Papagai eggs are laid to collect them. Pirates are always disappointed when they discover that it's not actually gold.

This is why mostly pirates have Papagais as pets. As a result, Papagais are a rarity on the island of Ark itself (since they generally live with pirates on their ships in cages sadly).

About the Papagai Creature

Energetic and talkative, Papagais make excellent companions. It's estimated by the Science and Research Center in Ark City that Papagais can retain around a maximum of 4,000-5,000 phrases before they can't learn anything more. Females can generally remember more phrases than males. If you try and teach a Papagai a new phrase after their brains are already "full," they simply won't say the phrase back to you ever.

Papagais are excellent carriers and messengers. Pirates will use Papagais between their ships to communicate and coordinate attacks on rural, coastal areas of Ark.
