Nope, his name is not an abbreviation for zombie or any alteration. Zombi is a voodoo god. Not sure of what, I think there were snakes involved, I just googled it. Anyway though, I thought it fit perfectly because of his voodoo-y-ness and if people thought it said zombie, well that's okay too. He creeps me out as much as any zombie would. 😉
