Clarice Starling is ANOTHER one of my heroes. She starred in my all-time favorite book/movie series (The Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal). When we're introduced to her, she's a student at the FBI Academy. She is sent to interview the notoriously dangerous cannibal, Hannibal Lecter. As time passes, he grows attached to her and shares information on an active serial killer that the FBI is searching for. But only if she shares her own personal information.

Eventually, Clarice is able to track down and attempts to arrest Jame Gumb, the serial killer. She ends up having to kill him to survive but rescues his last victim from a terrible death.

In the interim, Hannibal escapes his prison. He contacts Clarice to let her know that he was on the run.

About the Chamollusk Creature

A variety of empty shells decorate the backs of Chamollusks to provide camouflage as they lie in wait on the shoreline for unsuspecting prey. These decorative shells are often the leftovers from previous meals and are used as gifts during times of courtship.

Chamollusks are very poor swimmers and rely upon their prehensile tail and feet to anchor themselves against being swept out to sea by the tide.
