"Crossing my legs because I have to pee!!"
——————💫 ✨ 💛 ✨ 💫——————

🫠 The kidneys generate urine every 10 to 15 seconds.

🫠 Ligaments hold the bladder in place in the pelvic system.

🫠 Ring-like muscles called sphincters keep the bladder closed to store urine. If you hold your pee often and don't go to the bathroom when you have that initial urge, over time, the sphincter will "wear out" from the constant pressure of holding in the urine and won't be able to hold it in as well. This leads to bladder leakage! So, try to go when you've gotta go. And a good rule to follow: If you have a chance to go to the bathroom (but maybe don't really have to go), just go. You don't know when your next chance will be.

🫠 The bladder expands and contracts as it fills and empties.

🫠 A healthy adult bladder can store up to 16 ounces (455 milliliters) of urine for between two to five hours.

🫠 The nerves in the bladder automatically let you know when the bladder requires emptying.

🫠 Muscles contract to expel urine during urination as sphincter muscles in the urethra relax.

🫠 Healthy urine appears very light yellow or nearly clear.

🫠 Dark or honey-colored urine indicates you are not drinking enough water, and brown-colored urine could indicate a health problem. It's typical for urine to be more yellow in the morning right after you wake up (unless you had a nice glass of water before bed).

🫠 Pink urine indicates the presence of blood and a much-needed visit to the doctor.

🫠 Try some kegel exercises and / or hip thrusts to strengthen your pelvic floor, bladder control, and more!

🫠 Try making a bladder-friendly drink: One part 100% pure, unsweetened cranberry juice (not Ocean Spray) mixed with two to three parts seltzer water (plain, lime, any). Delicious!

About Ocktin Eggs

Ocktin eggs grow abundantly in the low grasslands during the month of October. They grow so quickly that some farmers regard Ocktin eggs as an invasive species. Some farmers exterminate patches of Ocktin eggs completely, so that they don't take over their land.

This practice has not been formally condoned or condemned by the government in Ark City.

About the Ocktin Creature

As Ocktins grow, their temperament matures and becomes happier. Newly-hatched Ocktins are actually quite sad and unsure of themselves. Mid-life Ocktins mature from being sad to being naive, gullible, and easily spooked. Newly-hatched and mid-life Ocktins are frequently placed in haunted houses because of their compatible demeanor.

Fully-matured Ocktins are very cheery and love to participate in annual Halloween Fair activities.

The average lifespan of an Ocktin is one and a quarter years.
