ah, isn't it funny.

i hate you so, just so you know. i'm pretty certain of it; my heart is still hardened with hate, all the while it softens when i see your progress.

i surprise myself with sentiment when it traces back to you, these days. most times, sentiment is all i am. but not with you, anymore. i've long accepted that.

good for you, truly, that you are learning. it's all i wanted.

and again, it's funny, right? it really was all i ever wanted. even when i fooled myself into thinking i wasn't crumbling. even when i learned all the ways in which you hurt me and my trust.

who knows how long it'll take for me to let go. i know i'm okay with myself, though. i think i should get to spit venom sometimes.

so there we go. i hope the guilt continues eating you from inside. i hope you continue changing. i hope you are happy.
