This egg is clearly not natural and yet it can only be found in the wild.
There have always been rumors of Unipunk engineers working on creating artificial, self perpetuating, life with their clockwork. So far this has always been just a rumor and no self-sustaining clockwork life has been created. However with the appearance of the Mectrigi it seems that someone has succeeded.
The engineer behind the Mectrigi is a mystery. For an unknown reason the first pair of Mectrigi were released into the wild instead of being showcased at one of Faela City's many fairs. Perhaps it was a test to see if the species was truly self-sustaining. If that is so no engineer has stepped forward as the creator. The appearance and origin of Mectrigis in Ark's forest remains a mystery.
