November 5th Update: Yesterday afternoon, mom was discharged from the hospital to an intensive rehabilitation facility. My dad drove her. She will need three hours per day for three weeks of speech therapy, physical therapy, and occupational therapy. She doesn't visit the center and go back home each day, she has to stay there. Thankfully her room has a window! I will definitely be visiting her there too. I know she's such a homebody like me so I know she can't wait for this to be over. And so she can eat the food she likes to make. I had made her some almond flour chocolate chip cookies with one of her recipes she loves, and I will be making some cheese crackers to bring for next time I see her.

The tumors were pressing on the part of her brain that controls speech, and removal is not an instant fix; the brain needs to heal from the pressure and inflammation and such. So she is still acting similarly to how she did right before the surgery. The medication she was on after all this started was helping a lot at the beginning, to keep her like herself, but towards the surgery, it did not seem to be working as well.

My mom's brain surgery went well! The tumors (two) were benign and she is recovering smoothly so far. Thank you to everyone that prayed or had my mom in your thoughts! ❤️ More details on BrainFood's page.

More: The surgery was successful and smooth! A sincere THANK YOU to any and all that prayed for or had my mom in your thoughts!! I genuinely appreciate it!! Btw, I forgot to mention, there were TWO tumors. The main one and then a smaller one a few inches away. They are benign.

My mom checked in at 8:45 AM, went into the OR at 10:20, surgery began around 12:00, and they finished around 3:30 PM. She was kept until stable, and then transferred to recovery for a couple hours. Then she was transferred to her room. I got there around 11:30 AM and got to visit her in her room at around 6:20 PM and stayed until around 9 PM. They are monitoring her and checking in with her often. I made a point to look up the serial numbers of the IV pumps being used to make sure she got some in tip-top shape (since this hospital is one of my work's contracted sites for infusion pump repairs and maintenance). >:} I plan to visit again today with @matcha.

Whether you are someone who prays or not, please think kind, positive thoughts about my amazing mom. She is having brain surgery today, November 1st, at 11 AM ECT to remove a brain tumor. I typed a bit more about this on BrainFood's page.

More: A few weeks ago, my dad texted me and my siblings late at night (unusual), saying that our mom was acting strange ever since he got home from work and that she was unable to speak normally, couldn't get words out.

She went to the ER and had some scans. They found something. I immediately woke my bf, sobbing, I am so scared, what am I going to do, how can I go on. :/ My mom then rode in an ambulance to the hospital for more scans and a visit with a neurologist. They found a meningioma (brain tumor) on the left side, between the temporal and frontal lobe, pressing on the area that controls speech. They kept her for monitoring for around three days.

Today, November 1st, my mom is having surgery to remove the brain tumor. They begin operating around 11 AM ECT (10 AM my time). Please think kind thoughts of her and the OR team, please pray for her and the team and my dad and my family. Whether you are someone who prays or not, I believe thinking and putting good thoughts out there is a positive act and can do no harm.

I am extremely scared, nervous, worried. I'm not asking that you post on my wall, I'm not necessarily asking that; I don't want sympathy or anything like that, you know what I mean? I don't want attention like that... I just wanted to let everyone know something major is going on with someone who means so much to me. Didn't want to mention it until now. And now, I hope that you can think kind and positive things about her and the surgeon, the anesthesiologist, all of the important people. Please pray for a safe and successful surgery, for a completely benign tumor, complete removal, and for a painless recovery, so she may revert back to her original self before the pressure and inflammation impacted her speech, her personality, and her daily function.

About Cibirio Eggs

This egg contains a brain that looks identical to that of a human. Its weight and proportions are exactly the same.

About the Cibirio Creature

While the Cibirio's brain looks similar and as advanced as a human's, it is actually far behind in terms of its evolution. The Cibirio is thought to be the ancestor brain of humans, but that somewhere along the way the species split in entirely different directions.

The Cibirio's brain is able to move the four-legged spider to capture and eat insects for food and energy. It has a strong hunger drive. But outside of that, it is thought that it has no conscious thought, language, or ability to intelligently communicate. The Science and Research Center in Ark City has conducted numerous studies on the Cibirio and has found that it is even more limited in cognitive function than primate species.

Conspiracy theorists posit that the Cibirio is actually a creation of the Science and Research Center, but the Center has denied the claim for decades.
