named after the italian 19th century composer, ottorino resphigi. the pines of rome was the first ever piece i performed with my local youth symphony, as well as one of the favourite pieces of the late conductor john curro, so it'll always be very dear to me ❤️ ❤️ shout-out as well to the fountains of rome, which fun fact: the amazing Ichiko Aoba sampled in the opening track to her album 'qp' !!!
