About the Heliconia Creature

Heliconias are lobster creatures that are well-known in the Ocean because of their striking resemblance to the Heliconia flower itself. Like the flower, Heliconias grow leaves that are characteristically long, oblong, alternate, or growing opposite one another on nonwoody petioles often longer than the leaf, often forming large clumps with age. Their flowers are produced on long, erect or drooping panicles, and consist of brightly colored, waxy bracts, with small true flowers peeping out from the bracts.

Heliconias are protected by the Town Hall in Ark City and must always be released if caught due to their dwindling natural population.
