About the Hamari Creature

It can be easy to overlook the Hamari amongst their larger or flashier aether-born brethren. It's not their size that makes Hamari so difficult to find (the Karcri are smaller) but their ability to almost perfectly camouflage themselves. Unlike the other aether-born who prefer to stay out in the wild Hamaris will creep there way into cities and even people's homes. It can be difficult to tell if a Hamari has found its way into your space but not impossible. There is a subtle sparkle in the air around them, the increases when they move. When found the Hamari reveal itself, give a nod or smile, and then vanish. No one is quite sure what the purpose of this is. Have they given some sort of blessing like an Urulei? Or imparted a bit of luck? Or inspiration? There is plenty of anecdotal evidence from those who have found a Hamari have said that something happened, something about them or their life changed, but none can point to exactly what. It is difficult to say if these changes are from the Hamari or simply confirmation bias or placebo effect. Those who study magic at the highest levels can confirm that Hamaris are doing something but even they can't tell what exact that is.

At the end of the alignment Hamaris will vanish like all the other aether-born. But unlike their brethren they leave no trace in the skys afterward, at least no trace of them has been seen. Perhaps that subtle imperfection in their camouflage is gone now that they have returned home.
