If you gaze into this egg for long enough, you will begin to see your reflection. The surface of this egg becomes more reflective as it gets closer to hatching.
Upon hatching, the Merra is contained within a shimmering golden mirror. You must speak with the wolf to coax it out, help it evolve, and begin interacting with it.
The Merra, overall, feels like a force for good in the world. But darkness occasionally surfaces within it. To continue its evolution, you must appease and placate a kind of inner monster.
When fully evolved, the mirror evaporates into the air like moisture. From that moment on, the Merra can no longer retreat and hide within it. But in its final form, the Merra gains a new kind of camouflage: the ability to create a perfect reflection in glass, rendering itself effectively invisible.
