The Yossun ("animated moss") moves through the shadows of the Forest. They must remain cool and moist to survive; otherwise, they shrivel up and turn brown. Alive with magical energy, sparkling yellow sprites surround them, keeping the Yossuns safe by warding off malevolent forces that might threaten them or the Forest itself.
Yossuns are serious and stern creatures that rarely express happiness. This doesn't mean they are perpetually sad—rather, they always appear to be deep in thought about something profound. Many Arkians always wonder what.
Legend speaks of these creatures as the forest's memory keepers, each one carrying within their living garden the seeds and essence of woodlands long past, ensuring that nature's wisdom endures through the ages.
