"But not all of the mysteries of Ormdale are small enough to fit in her lap
...and some of them have teeth."

Wormwood Abbey by Christina Baehr

About Rifiluc Eggs

Among heaps of Egg Coins, gemstones, and other sparkling treasures, glistening Rifiluc eggs are camouflaged! Well, these eggs would've escaped the notice of wandering creatures and ambitious adventurers who dared enter Rifiluc territory, if it weren't for the eagerly wagging tails protruding outside of them. The little ones seem ecstatic to explore the outside world!

About the Rifiluc Creature

Once they hatch, Rifiluc juveniles are constantly causing a ruckus, much to their parents' irritation. The little ones zoom through Egg Coin piles with terrifying speed while playing, sending shiny projectiles rocketing in every direction. Due to their reckless behaviour and soft scales, older Rifiluc ensure the younglings are covered with their eggshell fragments to protect them from injury.

As Rifiluc mature, they become more cautious and tactical as they shoulder greater responsibility in safeguarding and providing for their tribe. The Rifiluc are sensitive to light, with their scales and bones crumbling to dust if exposed. They're confined in their almost completely pitch-dark dwellings. Stray rays of light bounce off their treasure troves, luring curious souls into their lairs. Rifilucs lie in wait within towers of riches for their prey to show up at their doorstep. Then, they add their visitors' lustrous valuables to their ever-growing homes.

Older members of the species, ranging from young adults to ancient in Rifiluc years, may shed their scales entirely. This enables them to further blend into their surroundings. After all, a heap of bones with vegetation growing on them wouldn't spring to life, right?
