Obsuidian eggs are laid alongside smaller vents flanking The Volcano as a means of incubation. An egg will sometimes plug up one of these vents, causing a high-pressure gas buildup that eventually sends it skyward.
The nocturnal Obsuidian burrows into the ground with only its obsidian-spiked back exposed to capture sun’s warmth. It stirs from its half-buried slumber by nightfall in search for food, unable to afford being a picky eater in the harsh, barren environment. It will feed on fauna, vegetation, and even volcanic rocks to stave off hunger.
