I took a break from nursing school a while back.
It was forced.

I got in a car accident that totaled my car, I broke my wrist. I had just aced my pathophisiology midterm.
I was on pain meds that made studying difficult. It was hard to go to class.
It also made depression worse. I hated not being able to do everything by myself like I'm used to. I sought treatment and I took antidepressants for a year.

All of that was a year ago. Now I have a car again, I'm not taking pain meds anymore. I feel more at peace and I have energy to do the things I love again. It's time to go back.

But I also have to come to terms with the fact that I am happy just barely passing classes so long as I understand what I'm learning. Homework might just seem like unnecessary busy work for me, but it does tank my grades when I can't keep up with everything. I aced the midterm but I failed because of homework. Twice. Completed homework would have saved my grade both times.

I also shouldn't wait until my room is unusable for me to start tidying up. How is someone this organized ok with living without a clear floor? The floor doesn't bother me when the moments of depression show up, but it infuriates me when I feel at peace. I have to do better for myself.
