Name Origin:
Spitz are a type of dog characterized by long, thick, and often white fur, and pointed ears and muzzles. The tail often curls over the dog's back or droops. The exact origins of spitz dogs are not known, though most of the spitz seen today originate from the Arctic region or Siberia. Through selective breeding, spitz have been developed to help humans in three ways: hunting, herding, and pulling sleds.

About Canige Eggs

This egg was given out for Creature Release Week in December of 2012.

The strange and exotic markings on Canige eggs are thought to exist as a means to confuse predators. Numerous studies done by the Science and Research Center have shown that humans who spend a prolonged time looking at Canige eggs will often induce both short-term headaches and mild hallucinations.

About the Canige Creature

Similar to the elusive Bliz, the snow-loving Canige is typically noticed during blizzards by disoriented travelers. Instead of offering assistance, Canige will mischievously distract these lost Arkians from the right direction for their own amusement. Tamed Canige have less sadistic tendencies, but they can never seem to shake their troublesome personality.
