Stryk Redkite, a great bird from the north comes to Redwall Abbey after being attacked by ravens. She escaped with an injured wing. After hauling herself over the wall, she is taken care of by Redwallers. When fully healed she goes back to her home, often visiting with her mate Skine and chick May (named after Sister May, who helped heal her).
