About the Gleggo Creature

The Gleggo is a wild canine, a native species in the Northern Plains. It is among the largest of wild canines that is distinguished from other canines by its hypercarnivorous diet and by a lack of dewclaws.

The species is a specialized diurnal hunter of antelopes which it catches by chasing them to exhaustion. Its natural enemies are lions like Alkubs and hyenas: the former will kill the dogs where possible, whilst hyenas are frequent kleptoparasites.

Like other canids, the Gleggo regurgitates food for its young but also extends this action to adults as a central part of the pack's social life. The young are allowed to feed first on carcasses.

Based on the African wild dog from Africa.
