A single Ohnex lives for hundreds of years and then, like a supernova, bursts into flames and its life ends. This is thought to occur once the phoenix's purpose has been served. After its death, the fiery ash from the explosion slowly descends to the island and coagulates into a brand-new Ohnex egg. This new Ohnex egg must be placed close to The Volcano in order to hatch. Otherwise, it will simply not have enough heat or be able to feel the fire power of the island.
Soaring the skies, the Ohnex is a majestic bird with a huge wingspan. In the daytime, their beauty is often eclipsed and hidden by the sun, but occasionally Ohnex put on a fiery visual display at night.
While fire consumes all, Ohnex are known to be gentle creatures that are unaggressive towards both Arkians and other creatures—Keepers of the Flames.
