Eramnesia; a portmanteau combining the words “Era” and “Amnesia,” to create a false-word that suggests a sense of longing for a forgotten time.

In the earlier days of Ark’s history, the oceans were clear and free of pollution. So as my Ooleg baby grows big and strong, ever-searching for a pure ocean to reside in, I imagine she must feel some sort of yearning for a place she has no memory of but that in her heart she knows must be home.🩵

This one is not an original word-mashing on my part. I got the idea from a list of archaic words once used in poetry. There is also a band affiliated with the term, though I can’t say I’m familiar with their music.

About the Ooleg Creature

When first born, the Ooleg must endure and overcome a barrage of toxins and harmful chemicals just to survive. Gradually, it purifies itself by leading a healthy lifestyle and seeking out less polluted waters. As it succeeds, it begins to evolve, becoming increasingly vibrant and resilient.

At last, if it reaches the safest and most pristine waters, the Ooleg fully matures—blooming with delicate ocean flowers that blossom from its back.
