When the Ajatole first hatches, many do not think that it is even alive. But if you put your ear close to it, you'll hear its heartbeart and discover that there is a growing creature inside.
First things first: you should never eat or chew on an Ajatole. Its ears are not the wrapping paper and it does not dispense bubble gum candies, even later in its final evolution form.
It will, however, follow you around wherever you go once you demonstrate that you are both a competent and safe caregiver. From that point on, you'll have a loyal companion.
