Outdoor marketplaces in the Northern Plains are susceptible to cunningly-planned ambushes, where dozens upon dozens of Shawloots will overwhelm vendors to rob them of their goods. Textile merchants selling high-quality and expensive fabrics are the most prevalent victims of these raids.
An ever-growing community of Shawloots, designated as the Shawloot Society by the local newspapers in Leila, is at odds against the rest of the population. Established to amend for the wrongdoings of its species, the Shawloot Society is a vigilante group determined to keep Leila and the Northern Plains free of criminal activity.
