About the Turtux Creature

Turtux are among the most brilliantly colored turtles in Ark. They are found most commonly in the northern part of the island. The Science and Research Center has observed that Turtux frequent the underground Cave river from the center of the island out north. It is currently unknown why they venture to the center of the island when their food is only located in the north. Surprisingly, they can survive in both freshwater and saltwater, making them the most ancient and longest-living turtle species in Ark.

Turtux are relatively easy to spot in the water because their shells emit mesmerizing rays of light. And depending on which angle you look at a Turtux's shell, the colors will appear differently. Sometimes a person can look at Turtux shells for long periods of time without boredom... this is referred to as "Turtux Trance."
