Generally, yes, the person doesn't yet have the money. The item is officially the Essence of Litsdnats and is 200CC (CaveCash, or real money currency), but I feel potion is close enough.

Basically creatures evolve through stats (feeds, clicks and views). DNF, or No-feed creatures are ones the owners don't want to evolve and grow up. Generally it's one they wish to freeze in a certain state.

I generally feed open links in clumps of 15-20 creatures at a time, it's not the smoothest thing in the world but it helps with feeding large coves like mine lol!

Also I use an extension on chrome browser called "linkclump" or something like that which allows me to drag my mouse over multiple creatures and open all their pages in different tabs, then I just ctrl+w after clicking the feed button to close the tab and feed the next tab.
