Also, there is a chance that the 6 pm HST can crash into dinner or the end of the workday, causing a bit of conflict. I noticed it might be a little easier when EC switches back to EST, which makes the rollover 7 pm HST, which I think is actually a little safer.

Yep, it should be a lot easier, but that's what happens when an Eastern site doesn't take into account HST players; they lose an hour in the summer, and 6 pm HST rollover bumps into things. Since 6pm is normally dinner time I think.
