Hover over "My Stuff" and you can click Inventory. There you can put the Trinket Travel on a creature.

You get EC for every day you log on. The more days you log on in a row, the more EC you get. 😊

The best way to get EC is through trading or feeding creatures, especially on the 15th on each month, which is double/triple feed day.
