You are going to graduate this summer right? ^^
I have 2+1 more years till graduation ugh ;o
I still have no idea what I want to do after but I think I’m gonna like working in hospitality. I’ve spent 3 summers working in a four-star hotel and I genuinely enjoyed it so yeah

smailly • 15 Apr 2020, 6:24 AM

Sorry for the late reply, randomly fell asleep last night lol
Your course seems very interesting, it’s nice that you have an idea what you want to do next. Any job search would be a struggle in these days because of the virus going around, don’t stress about it ❤️

aloe • 15 Apr 2020, 12:39 AM

subie • 14 Apr 2020, 11:55 PM

Fed all back! Thank you for the travel as well. 😊

I think the vine is maybe parasitic? I'm not sure, it's just a video of a vine thrashing about until it finds a tree to coil itself around. A little creepy! Do you think plants do things for fun sometimes?

aloe • 14 Apr 2020, 11:51 PM

He is pretty strong since my mom lost him under the couch for two months once and when I found him he was still alive but he hasn't been so happy since. And he's in his own little terarrium with a cover for shipping but maybe needs to be repotted at some point.

aloe • 14 Apr 2020, 11:31 PM

CABBAGE BRO IS STILL ALIVE>?????? also when we can send packages again can i send you a plant that needs to be rehomed asap? i have a baby cactus named juicebox who is probably dying since he doesn't look too hot

aloe • 14 Apr 2020, 11:30 PM

YEAG. i guess i was thinking more internal fungus infections which i try not to think about too hard cause if i do i'll prob cry. is the prayer plant the one with the vines that move around like crazy until it finds another plant to latch onto? they are too fast and move too much

aloe • 14 Apr 2020, 11:20 PM

r u kidding me. umich get it together holy crap at least u graduating so soon. like next week right

aloe • 14 Apr 2020, 11:19 PM

plants are smarter than us all and we just can't fully comprehend it yet. fungi are terrifying like i love them but since learning and working with mycelium i am so glad its so hard for humans to get fungal infections because those things would digest us without hesitation

aloe • 14 Apr 2020, 11:14 PM

some dude named antscanada i think. sometimes the narration is a bit MUCH but he loves and cares about his ants so much

aloe • 14 Apr 2020, 11:13 PM

oh oh do you guys work with fungi too even tho they're not even closely related? my brain hasn't calmed down since working with fungi

aloe • 14 Apr 2020, 11:12 PM

also WHAT? so it learns to differentiate between different kinds pain? that's nuts!!!!!!!!!! i knew plants can scream for help but like this is like mind blowing. where do they STORE the memory

aloe • 14 Apr 2020, 11:10 PM

they're more separated since the fish they have are not well behaved and don't really control themselves from eating it all despite being fed so it's definitely not as self sustained as in that video! which is very addicting, i watch that one and the one of the guy who farms ants

aloe • 14 Apr 2020, 10:50 PM

MY DREAM JOB IS KELP FARM TOO hhahhahhahah. kelp is SUPER easy to grow. they grow some of it in a tank that connects to a saltwater fish tank and the hardest part is just maintaining the salinity and keeping flatworms and other bad little guys out

aloe • 14 Apr 2020, 10:48 PM

are you freaking kidding me? they sound so entitled good thing the trash took itself out. is it hard to grow them from seeds? they always seem so fragile, and geez dont give up cause of sum crusty boomers!!

aloe • 14 Apr 2020, 10:46 PM

marimo variety pack there goes my savings. and yes!!!!! shy plants! but i have a problem with the lab ppl cause they like to pretty much rub against the wall and it stresses the plants out and they also like sticking their fingers in the flytraps and it makes me want to scream

aloe • 14 Apr 2020, 10:43 PM

wait what. i thought busta had children and his body mass went down! marimos are super weird i don't really understand them at all. i think super indirect light is good for him cause too much sun makes them brown and rn he sounds healthy since he's gassy

aloe • 14 Apr 2020, 10:29 PM

we have lots of different kinds of palms which are a pain in the butt to manage sometimes and this GIANT wall of mimosa pudica, and my professor grows a lot of her space lettuce and basil there. and they're growing some kelp in the aquariums

whitefall • 14 Apr 2020, 10:29 PM

well, we're almost done :') hang in there friend

aloe • 14 Apr 2020, 10:27 PM

where do YOU BUY 20 MARIMOS ONLINE ASKING FOR A FRIEND. I think the floating is normal?? he is prob floating bc ur mom left him in the sun. photosynthesis makes them gassy i think u can squeeze him and put him in a closet or something and he'll calm down

aloe • 14 Apr 2020, 10:24 PM

oh my god why do i remember the avocado tree so vividly like it was recent. IS BUSTA HUGE NOW. cause before my tuna died he was like the size of a large fist and it's kinda amazing how they grow with like barely any nutrients or sunlight

aloe • 14 Apr 2020, 10:20 PM

i am curious as to what happened to your avocado tree! do you still have your marimo? my parents let mine die when i was away for two freaking weeks

aloe • 14 Apr 2020, 10:19 PM

there were some insane fights that i mostly watched from a safe distance but people went ham over some ridiculous stuff that i can no longer remember the details of. i have never actually been in a greenhouse cause we only grow our plants indoors in the lab. OH WAIT

aloe • 14 Apr 2020, 10:05 PM

Eggcave has always been stressful but i think its better now cause do u remember the DRAMA that took place back in the forums in the day it used to be a lawless wasteland. wait i always killed so many plants by accidentally overwatering. does the water just evaporate super fast?

aloe • 14 Apr 2020, 9:57 PM

do they die really easily like orchids? and they LOOk like a messy plant, i don't like them now because of the name. also dude i HATE auctions they are so stressful i bought this one and 5 other dragons and at the end during bidding my hands were shaking a little

whitefall • 14 Apr 2020, 9:32 PM

they don't have finals! we're just working on final projects

whitefall • 14 Apr 2020, 8:00 PM

2 CS classes, a 3d printing class & a clay class! i was supposed to have a final on the 27th, but bc of ~online school~ they'll open it on the 21st and let us take it whenever we want before the 27th :') ❤️ going to take it asap lol
