YESSS i agree! and i feel so bad for old cats sometimes because less people want to adopt them :'( and kittens can be super unpredictable lol. my bf recently adopted a 10-month-old cat and idk if that counts as kitten but she is so much. regularly gets the zoomies and bites us

aha yeah! tbh i wanted a low maintenance chill cat that doesn't really care for attention (that's what my recent roommate's cat was like and i LOVED him) so i adopted an old cat expecting grumpiness but he is...very social lol. meows at me for pets. which is fine i love him

ohh i didn’t realize it was your bf’s dog! also rip peaches ❤️ and yeah i personally love dogs but i don’t think i could deal with the work lol. sometimes i can barely take care of myself x) can only have a pet that doesn’t need walks / outside time haha
