they all look so different as usual? Don't really like the cc ones, don't think I'll get them, I like the Feggle though!

kiti • 1 Jul 2013, 2:16 PM

If this isn't directed at Qes, then I don't know what you're dealing with. But if this wan't your month, practice and do some test pets...

kiti • 1 Jul 2013, 2:18 PM

... you'll pick it up. :} Don't stop and make everyone love you.

faybaybay • 1 Jul 2013, 2:21 PM

@pirran sorry about my rude comments! If I may ask, how old are you & how did you get egg cave to let you so the artwork

pirran • 1 Jul 2013, 2:25 PM

@faybaybay I'm not "12" as some people would suggest. My portfolio/bio is on my profile, and I was found through a site for working artists.

quadricat • 1 Jul 2013, 2:29 PM

There is a marked difference among expressing your opinion, abusive criticism, and constructive critique. I'm seeing a lot of cruelty here.

wallie987 • 1 Jul 2013, 2:32 PM

@quadricat Agreed, and I'm beginning to think that if creatures a going to get better, the artists have got to know what all the users want-

wallie987 • 1 Jul 2013, 2:33 PM

- and not just that their work is bad.

jix • 1 Jul 2013, 2:41 PM

You guys are really rude. =.=

sprite • 1 Jul 2013, 2:41 PM

Knowing the cave creatures only had 5 hours vs the usual month i think they are done well for that amount of time.

sprite • 1 Jul 2013, 2:44 PM

Not many here could pull off even 1/2 of what was done in so little time. pirran thank you for explaining and good luck!

glados • 1 Jul 2013, 2:51 PM

I wouldn't be able to draw half as well with a five hour time constraint for two creatures. Coloring alone takes hours. Thanks, Pirran. ❤️

Ian • 1 Jul 2013, 3:04 PM

if it weren't for @pirran, last night's release wouldn't have happened!

dreamer • 1 Jul 2013, 3:07 PM

Guys, get the creatures if you like them, and leave this alone if you don't. Half of you probably couldn't draw nearly as well in 5 hours.

dreamer • 1 Jul 2013, 3:08 PM

Personally, I'm saving my CC, but I did get a Miros. You're lucky these creatures are released anyways. There are plenty more to come.

brookie • 1 Jul 2013, 3:16 PM

The art is very different this month. I really like the Riggert. 😸

brad • 1 Jul 2013, 3:19 PM

Wow, 5 hours? 😱 Okay! I am seeing these in a whole new light. These are absolutely amazing for 5 hours!

metaphor • 1 Jul 2013, 3:29 PM

@pirran I can promise you that all artists, no matter how good, are going to criticized. This is nothing compared to what some of the

metaphor • 1 Jul 2013, 3:30 PM

artists on Subeta get. Want to see brutality toward artists? Go there when a popular pet has been revamped...:x I'm not saying it's right

metaphor • 1 Jul 2013, 3:30 PM

Most people here could have been much more tactful with their criticism, but there have also been people who are interested in helping you

metaphor • 1 Jul 2013, 3:31 PM

improve. Frankly, yes, the coloring could use some work, but I understand and accept that you were pressed for time. Just remember, though:

metaphor • 1 Jul 2013, 3:31 PM

you're never going to be able to please everyone, no matter how wonderful a masterpiece you create. People are like that. I learned as a

metaphor • 1 Jul 2013, 3:32 PM

writer to accept that not too long ago, and it has honestly made my life a lot easier.

briseis • 1 Jul 2013, 3:38 PM

Ugh. Who is drawing these creatures? To be honest, they look awful and do not stand up to even the art of the commons in the EC.

quadricat • 1 Jul 2013, 3:39 PM

@metaphor There is no excuse for the playerbase to be rude and hateful. Ever. Just because "it happens" doesn't mean it has to happen here.

quadricat • 1 Jul 2013, 3:40 PM

I'm an artist on another site, and I have never once had to deal with the abuse like what is blatantly posted on this news.

quadricat • 1 Jul 2013, 3:41 PM

Yes, all artists are subject to it at some point, and growing a thick skin is part of the job, but that isn't an invitation to be rude.

bot • 1 Jul 2013, 3:41 PM

@o_o Yes, I agree. I really loved May's, but then the style started changing, @Pirran, it's not your fault, but not alot of users liked ---

bot • 1 Jul 2013, 3:43 PM

--- the concept of different styles. Also, I don't personally love the idea of having two CSP's, either. It presses me of my choice much ---

wallie987 • 1 Jul 2013, 3:43 PM

Ok, seriously people, this is just getting annoying - if you want better creatures then make constructive suggestions. Plainly saying:...

metaphor • 1 Jul 2013, 3:43 PM

@quadricat Hey now, I never said it was acceptable, not ever. It is hurtful and I have so much respect for artists who put up with it,

wallie987 • 1 Jul 2013, 3:43 PM

... "The work sucks" isn't going to do anything.

metaphor • 1 Jul 2013, 3:44 PM

because I know as a fact I'd struggle with it. But at the same time, it's important to remember that as hurtful as it can be, people aren't

metaphor • 1 Jul 2013, 3:45 PM

attacking you, your character, even your work as a whole really. Just that particular piece. And I know, it's a hard thing to accept and

bot • 1 Jul 2013, 3:45 PM

--- more than that of the choice of three, and three gave you more choices. It feels limited now, and I don't like that feeling. The new ---

metaphor • 1 Jul 2013, 3:45 PM

it shouldn't happen. In a perfect world, everyone would offer wholly constructive criticism and keep their personal biases out of it.

quadricat • 1 Jul 2013, 3:46 PM

@metaphor I'm not saying you're justifying it, but you are suggesting that this 'isnt that bad' (yes I agree subeta is awful though)

bot • 1 Jul 2013, 3:46 PM

--- cave monthlies are starting to suck now, and last month's were OK, but now I'm just getting tired of it! I might as well quit if they---

metaphor • 1 Jul 2013, 3:46 PM

But unfortunately, people can be cruel and while it'd be nice to change that, all you really can do is shrug it off and strive for better.

quadricat • 1 Jul 2013, 3:47 PM

This character limit is seriously getting in the way of discussion lol.

metaphor • 1 Jul 2013, 3:47 PM

I didn't mean to come across as though it's not bad, so I apologize for that. I kind of worried that I would come across as "Well

metaphor • 1 Jul 2013, 3:47 PM

other artists have it worse so suck it up" as that wasn't my intention. I was more trying to assure @pirran that she isn't alone. When I was

bot • 1 Jul 2013, 3:47 PM

--- get any worse and just stick to www.thesporkedken.com/adopt. If you want to see me there, my username is Bot (capital B).

metaphor • 1 Jul 2013, 3:48 PM

younger and much more sensitive to criticism, someone on Subeta (on one of those pet story critique boards) basically told me they couldn't

quadricat • 1 Jul 2013, 3:48 PM

Its alright, I didn't mean to accuse either lol. I agree with you. I just want it to be clear to others that there is no excuse to be mean.

glados • 1 Jul 2013, 3:48 PM

Bot, that comment is uncalled for. If you don't like the cave monthlies that much, you don't need to voice it so vehemently in public.

metaphor • 1 Jul 2013, 3:48 PM

understand a word of my story and that it was just flowery gibberish. It really did hurt me, and I kind of wanted to cry. But that story

dreamer • 1 Jul 2013, 3:49 PM

@Bot There are two CC monthlies and two cave monthlies to even out the system. When there were 3 CC monthlies, and nothing else, those-

metaphor • 1 Jul 2013, 3:49 PM

is still there, has won pet spotlight, and I tend to get a lot more compliments on that story than any of my others. So a lot of it is

metaphor • 1 Jul 2013, 3:49 PM

perspective too.
