-without CC really had nothing to accomplish. And, besides, the gifting CC option was removed, which still annoys me, so other users-

quadricat • 1 Jul 2013, 3:50 PM

I think we have all experienced that kind of bullying before sadly ☚ī¸

dreamer • 1 Jul 2013, 3:50 PM

-can't get CC easily. Having some CC Creatures still allows the site to gain profit, and cave creatures allow all users to advance. There-

dreamer • 1 Jul 2013, 3:51 PM

-is really no reason to be so bitter about the creatures, since we're lucky to even get them. If you don't like these pets, then just-

dreamer • 1 Jul 2013, 3:52 PM

-stick to the Halloween site you posted (I'm on there too) instead of being so harsh here. It will only start an argument.

metaphor • 1 Jul 2013, 3:52 PM

And I 'm not saying that story is perfect, lol far from it. Looking back at it, I cringe at some of my stylistic choices. But I don't really

metaphor • 1 Jul 2013, 3:53 PM

think it's incomprehensible. But to each his own. *shrug*

quadricat • 1 Jul 2013, 3:58 PM

C'est la vie. u_u By the way, Pirr has a thread about critique in Suggestions & Ideas and I encourage everyone to take a look.

bot • 1 Jul 2013, 4:02 PM

@dreamer Good. Maybe I will, Dreamer. And maybe I won't have to deal with bad art. To be honest, I love the designs, but just not the art.

bot • 1 Jul 2013, 4:03 PM

@metaphor I really do agree with you, and I do think people shouldn't just blurt out the cold, hard truth, but if no one did, how would we--

bot • 1 Jul 2013, 4:04 PM

--improve anything? We all need motives and critiques to tell us how to pique our skills and improve ourselves. Without anybody telling ---

bot • 1 Jul 2013, 4:05 PM

-- their honest opinion, we would stay in one place for the rest of our lives. Think about the cave people? They had to try and evolve. ---

wallie987 • 1 Jul 2013, 4:06 PM

@bot You're right - but what's been said in comments is not critique.

bot • 1 Jul 2013, 4:06 PM

--- We should, too. Think of Ben Franklin. Did he ever deny opinions? Never. No one should be such softies. Be like the people you are, not-

Zac • 1 Jul 2013, 4:07 PM

@bot Stating the truth (or your opinions) and being respectful aren't mutually exclusive.

quadricat • 1 Jul 2013, 4:07 PM

@bot cold hard truth can be presented in a way that is encouraging instead of discouraging. It can build instead of destroy.

bot • 1 Jul 2013, 4:08 PM

@zac No offense, but really. If no one critiqued the old creatures and the bugs and such, we would be exactly the same until the site closed

glados • 1 Jul 2013, 4:10 PM

Critique does not equal destroying a person's confidence with threats to quit the site based on art.

bot • 1 Jul 2013, 4:10 PM

down. And, @quadricat, I agree. But we need to be straight. If we just 'softened up our words', no one would get what we meant and no-one --

quadricat • 1 Jul 2013, 4:10 PM

@bot A good artist welcomes critique-- and Pirran does indeed do so on her thread. No one has said we shouldn't critique.

bubblez • 1 Jul 2013, 4:11 PM

@bot Say something sucks is not a critique. Going on and on about how you dislike something is not a critique.

bot • 1 Jul 2013, 4:11 PM

-- would get our points we are trying to get across. @glados We are not threatening them. We're just stating our honest opinions, no matter-

quadricat • 1 Jul 2013, 4:12 PM

@bot You don't have to soften your words but you also never have to speak in a way that is harmful or insulting as has transpired here

bot • 1 Jul 2013, 4:12 PM

-how harsh. @quadricat And no one has said we have the right to blurt out our opinions, though they may be harsh.

dreamer • 1 Jul 2013, 4:13 PM

@Bot Who said that we're softies? I am far from that, my friend. I never said you were rude, but just saying the art sucks (which you have)-

dreamer • 1 Jul 2013, 4:14 PM

-without giving good REASONS, or making suggestions, is rude. I also find your comments to me to be quite dry. We would be nothing-

quadricat • 1 Jul 2013, 4:14 PM

@bot This isn't about rights, this is about what is necessary or not. Bullying is never necessary.

glados • 1 Jul 2013, 4:14 PM

Stating opinions no matter how harsh is never the way to go.

dreamer • 1 Jul 2013, 4:14 PM

-without critiques, but just saying something sucks doesn't help. And Ben Franklin has nothing to do with this, really. -_-

Zac • 1 Jul 2013, 4:14 PM

@bot I'm all for sharing opinions. But keep in mind that as others respect your critiques, you need to respect others' feelings and work.

bot • 1 Jul 2013, 4:14 PM

@dreamer Logging off. I don't need to hear the rest of that sentence. If no one agrees with me, then goodbye. I'm not commenting on this--

Orderedchaos • 1 Jul 2013, 4:15 PM

This is starting to become a full fledged argument and I think everyone needs to take a step back and cool down.

bot • 1 Jul 2013, 4:15 PM

--blog post anymore.

bot • 1 Jul 2013, 4:16 PM

@orderedchaos Agreed. No comment. Yes. Thank you and goodnight.

Meteoroid • 1 Jul 2013, 4:16 PM

At the very top of our Guidelines is this: Respect Others. Calling an artist a twelve year old who dabbles in watercolor is not respectful.

sprite • 1 Jul 2013, 4:18 PM

Saying the art looks like a 12 year old did it is a not helpful critique. No one would learn from that from of critique.

sprite • 1 Jul 2013, 4:19 PM

Stating I think the shading needs to be softer, darker, etc it helpful critique especially for a new artist here.

Meteoroid • 1 Jul 2013, 4:20 PM

We welcome all suggestions and criticism on Egg Cave. However, we do expect the community to have a form of self-control.

bubblez • 1 Jul 2013, 4:23 PM

Ohh I see we have a new prize in the raffle \o/ "Patriotic Pack" perfect for Thursday 😋

wallie987 • 1 Jul 2013, 4:25 PM

@bubblez finally!

dreamer • 1 Jul 2013, 4:27 PM

@Bot I may as well back off too. But for one final thought, there was no "rest of that sentence," that was an emoticon. Nice job.

animegirlalways • 1 Jul 2013, 4:39 PM

I like the Riggert. 😊

flashbunny • 1 Jul 2013, 4:59 PM

i'm sorry but i don't like this new artist TT-TT everything looks half-finished....

flashbunny • 1 Jul 2013, 5:01 PM

i do approve that the site's trying new things though 😊 just kills it a bit since i really liked the idea of the previously added creature

faybaybay • 1 Jul 2013, 5:05 PM

The drawings were very good for 5 hour time limit, but I would have rather had the artist spend more time on the creatures and have them be

faybaybay • 1 Jul 2013, 5:05 PM

Released later tonight instead of at midnight

angelwolfeh • 1 Jul 2013, 5:24 PM

I agree the art isn't pitch-perfect, but there are over 200 creatures and with Cave monthlies and CSP Creatures, that's over 248 to this ---

angelwolfeh • 1 Jul 2013, 5:26 PM

Year's amount. We have to realise that they have to come up with designs too.

jazzyleia • 1 Jul 2013, 5:33 PM

I think these are amazing creatures and I can not wait to find some in the cave for myself. I clap for the artist..amazing job!

littlepuffyball • 1 Jul 2013, 5:43 PM

@pirran I would rather have Ian give you more time then? I would wait longer for better. Sorry people are being rude.
