WE'RE OLD - We're so old. Happy SEVENTH birthday, Egg Cave! Thank you to all of our lovely players who have supported us for so many amazing years. ASTEROID PLOT CLOSING - After more than a month since its exciting (and long awaited) release, Egg Cave's 2016 Asteroid Plot is finally coming to an official end. The end date is July 24th at 12:00 PM ECT. If you haven't started or completed the plot yet, now is your chance to do so! VERY EXCITING NEWS - We've kept it a secret... but... we just can't keep it in anymore! Over the next several months, we're developing Egg Cave version 3, a total redesign of Egg Cave and its features. We can't say much at the moment, but here's a sneak peek of the design (note: everything is subject to change!). Follow our Facebook and Twitter, as this is where we'll drop screenshots of the new version every once in a while. ;)
A WHITE HOT FIERY CREATURE - In keeping with this month's random theme of FIRE, the white hot Kektron creature has arrived in the Cash Shop Park.
BIRTHDAY CAVE CREATURE - The Leep, cousin of the Yeep, will be appearing in the Cave around our birthday celebrations from here on out...

ARK IS SAVED - The Pareteorsite Queen has been defeated (and captured) after nearly two weeks of intense battling! From the miners to the fighters, many Arkians pitched in to help the Storticai put a stop to this malevolent ruler!
FINAL BLOW - Congratulations to Icymuffin for delivering the finishing strike on the Pareteorsite Queen! Ambassador Thrakhis salutes you! COMPLETE THE PLOT - Although the Pareteorsite Queen is defeated, her lair must still be found if you have not done so already, otherwise your plot status will count as being incomplete. Trust us, you will want to finish! The good news, though, is that the Volcano Tunnels are now Pareteorsite-free. It should be much easier to find her lair now without constant interruptions! YEWEFOH CDWC CLOSED - The Creature Description Writing Contest for the Yewefoh species is now closed and is no longer accepting new entries! Everyone who participated has done such a great job with their creative descriptions that there will be runner-ups announced alongside the winner! Yes, even the runner-ups will receive some compensatory prize points. ;)
The winner and runner-ups will be announced during the release of the The Asteroid Plot's Prize Shop. Which brings us to the next point... POINT CALCULATION - Lots of data was collected throughout the course of the Asteroid Plot, all of which range from completing plot steps, collecting and depositing materials, leveling up creatures and winning battles, and fighting the big bad Pareteorsite Queen herself. Please bear with us as we compile this information into spendable points! PRIZE SHOP COMING SOON - Points earned from participating in Egg Cave's Asteroid Plot will be redeemable for some really great prizes, many of which are exclusive to this event! There will be an announcement when the prize shop is released, so please be patient as we prepare the shop and finish transferring your accomplishments into prize points. Thank you!

DOUBLE/TRIPLE FEED DAY - It's that time of month again! For today only, you can receive up to double or triple Egg Coins for feeding. Have fun!

WRITE THE YEWEFOH'S DESCRIPTION - The Yewefoh species is still an elusive one. So elusive, in fact, that its Archives entry is empty! Cathy and Edgar didn't have too much time to gather a lot of information on a Yewefoh they caught before it escaped. Luckily, the Creature Description Writing Contest is here to help them out. What are the origins of the mysterious Yewefoh species? Are they friend or foe? Did the Storticai have a hand in their creation? Are they just a whimsical third party passing through? Who knows! Except you, of course. The winner selected for this contest will receive not only the first-ever Yewefoh in existence, but they will also receive additional points to spend at the prize shop when the Asteroid Plot concludes soon! (By the way, the Pareteorsite Queen's HP is now below the halfway mark. Keep up the good fight, Arkians!)
