Denarius
The Angel of Greed
Brother to Laetes, Angel of Joy

Laetes, the angel of Joy, was the most precious and beloved child of the gods. So beloved was he that he became arrogant, thinking only himself worthy of praise. His brother Denarius, the angel of Greed, seethed with bitterness at this. One night, Denarius cast Laetes from the heavens, condemning him to walk the world as a man for one hundred years. The angel of Joy fell from the light of the heavens through the dark of night, into the mortal world. The shudder of his impact sent ripples throughout the land, but it would take more than a hundred years for the consequences of that to manifest.

About Leroon Eggs

This egg was only available in Egg Cave's Cash Shop Park for May 2013.

In ancient Ark it was traditional for leaders to gift Leroon eggs to each other when they met for the first time to show their willingness to cooperate together. In more modern times Leroon eggs are still exchanged between city leaders, but only on very special occasions and with great ceremony.

About the Leroon Creature

The Leroon are a very honorable species. They are known to be just and fair in all their interactions with others and fierce fighters when it comes to defending what is right. In times past, rulers of Ark would keep a Leroon by their side to assist them in their decision making. Because of this they have long been used and seen as a symbol of authority and power. If a Leroon ever left the service of a ruler it was a sign that they were no longer fit to rule.

The wings of a Leroon are not actually used for flight as they are too small. Instead they serve a dual purpose as a means of intimidation when in battle and as a way to attract a mate.
